Nourishing the New Mother
I firmly believe that postpartum care is a necessity. The postpartum period offers a unique opportunity to nourish your body, mind, and spirit, creating a strong foundation for abundant mothering. Our Matrecentric, or mother-centered, care series is designed as a roadmap for identifying your needs and creating an implementation plan.
This series is intended for mothers, partners, family members, and friends who will be part of the postpartum support team. Our curriculum focuses on the physiological design of the postpartum body and the importance of the mother-infant dyad. We will explore nervous system regulation, the developmental psychology of newborns, the importance of rest, warmth, postpartum-specific nutrition, and ancient healing modalities adapted for modern mothering. This is real nourishment, devoted to your needs as a new mother.
